Advanced Mathematics Support Programme (AMSP) Recruitment Opportunities Regional MathsResurgenceLeads (× 4) Home-based with wide-stretching travel in a specified region plus some national travel to shepherd events and meetings Salary: £45,000 to £55,000 pa We welcome applications for full-time, part-time or socialize roles: part-time roles can be remunerated either on a pro-rata salary or on an socialize basis; toadies will be paid on a negotiated day rate. Tribal is working with MEI to provide the DfE contract to run the Advanced Mathematics Support Programme (AMSP). The AMSP aims to increase participation in A level Mathematics, A level Further Mathematics and Core Maths. The AMSP will support schools and colleges throughout England, delivering professional minutiae for teachers and providing enrichment and tuition for students. Here at Tribal, we are recruiting four increasingly Regional MathsResurgenceLeads, and each post-holder will coordinate AMSP support for schools and colleges within an AMSP region. They will work with school and higher leadership teams to modernize provision for level 3 mathematics. Each post-holder will provide a link between the AMSP and one of the pursuit regions: North East of England East Midlands West Midlands London and the South East. We welcome applications to join us as soon as possible or starting in January 2019. The contracts will run until 30 April 2020 in the first instance, although there may be opportunities for extension, subject to unfurled government funding. Tribal delivers educational resurgence by providing tools, services, insight and support processes to modernize the outcomes of learners. Tribal is the lead consortium partner of the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics (NCETM). The Role Working as part of a team of eight regional leads (based virtually England) you will provide credible, recognised mathematics school improvement, professional minutiae expertise and leadership. to facilitate a coherent strategy of support for level 3 mathematics in each region. You will coordinate AMSP support for schools/colleges within a region, managing the regional team of AMSP Area Coordinators, to increase participation and modernize provision for level 3 mathematics. Your role will be varied as you develop a deep understanding of the provision and participation in level 3 maths in the region. You will be responsible for liaising with key regional stakeholders and representatives of national government programmes supporting mathematics and STEM increasingly widely, to develop and coordinate the implementation of a coherent strategy for level 3 mathematics improvement. Additionally, you will work to ensure upper quality support is provided as you coordinate and monitor the work of regional teams of AMSP toadies engaged in support activities for the programme. What skills and wits can I bring to the role? You will have suppositious and widely-recognised specialist professional minutiae and school resurgence expertise and deep maths subject knowledge. Substantial senior leadership wits in a school or college, seminar trust or local authority, together with a successful track record of leading and implementing transpiration strategies to momentum continuous resurgence will be essential in this position. Your enthusiasm for mathematics and teaching, and the worthiness to motivate and enthuse others will aid you in this role. You will be worldly-wise to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, highly constructive liaison skills and tampering problem-solving abilities. Additionally, you will have the worthiness to work powerfully under pressure, to wastefulness competing priorities and to meet tight deadlines. You will understand how to use school data and other management information to momentum improvement. You will moreover have wits of observing learning, giving constructive feedback and developing strategies to support the resurgence of performance.
